ADVENT/CHRISTMAS SERVICE SCHEDULE
2nd Sunday of Advent - December 6 8:00 a.m.- Holy Eucharist 10:30 am - Holy Eucharist without Music 4:00 pm - American Guild of Organists Annual Choral Festival Location: Central United Protestant Church 1124 Stevens Drive - Richland, Washington. Our Lady of Guadalupe Service - December 12 6:00 pm - Service to celebrate Our Lady of Guadalupe.
The festival commemorates the appearance of the Virgin Mary to the indigenous people of Mexico. The Virgin Mary of Guadalupe has become a symbol of strength for women and Hispanic people. The service will be held in Spanish and English. There will be a potluck in the parish hall after the service. Please bring a side dish or salad to share. 3rd Sunday of Advent - December 13 8:00 a.m.- Holy Eucharist 10:30 am - Holy Eucharist without Music
4th Sunday of Advent - December 20 8:00 a.m.- Holy Eucharist 10:30 am - Holy Eucharist without Music 7:00 pm - Longest Night Services at First Lutheran Church.
This service typically takes place at the Winter solstice, the longest night of the year. It is a time when we remember those events and people that we have loved and lost. The Chaplaincy and many area churches are sponsoring this worship service together. Christmas Eve - December 24 6:00 pm - Family Service with Holy Eucharist 10:00 pm - Lessons and Carols 10:30 pm - Holy Eucharist with Music 1st Sunday of Christmas - December 27 8:00 a.m.- Holy Eucharist 10:30 am - Holy Eucharist without Music
